Database Recovery Technique for Mobile Computing: A Game Theory Approach

Contact between mobile hosts and database servers presents many problems in the Mobile Database System (MDS). It is harmed by a variety of causes, including handoff, inadequate capacity, frequent transaction updates, repeated failures, both which contribute to serious issues with information system’s consistency. However, error tolerance technicality allows devices continue performing their functions event failure. The aim this paper identify optimal recovery approach from among available state-of-the-art techniques MDS employing game theory. Several presented protocols are chosen evaluated order determine most critical factors affecting mechanism, such as number processes, time required deliver messages, messages logged-in time. Then, using suggested payout matrix, theory strategy adapted choose optimum technique for specified environmental variables. NS2 simulator was used carry out tests apply protocols. experiments validate proposed model’s usefulness comparison other methods.
